Description of CN HPLC Column
The Hawach CN HPLC column, which uses a unique innovative filler bonding process, is based on ultra-high purity fully porous spherical silica gel, bonded with cyanopropyl functional groups and controlled by the strict process to ensure the formation of uniform, dense amino-functional molecules. Layers maximize bond coverage and ensure that the column packing has excellent stability.
The reversed-phase cyano HPLC column elutes rapidly for hydrophobic molecules, has unique selectivity for polar compounds, and has a good peak shape for the separation of strong basic compounds (including ammonium salts).
CN Column has different selectivity from reversed-phase columns such as C18 and C8. A cyano column can be used when a highly hydrophobic compound cannot be eluted with a standard C18 and C8 column or a typical reversed-phase eluent.
The normal phase column can replace the silica gel column, which has a fast equilibrium and is more consistent than the activity of the non-derivatized silica gel. It can replace most of the cyano liquid chromatography columns on the market.
